Sea Port Products Adds Industry Veteran David Glaubke to its Roster
Kirkland, Wash., August 23, 2011—Sea Port Products Corporation, is pleased to announce that it has named David Glaubke to the new position of Director of Sustainability Initiatives. Glaubke, a 30-year veteran of the seafood industry, will assist the management team in expanding Sea Port’s selection of seafood sourced from sustainable farmed and wild fisheries, including efforts to improve the sustainability of its supply chain, and directing sustainability initiatives. Because of his long history in the seafood industry, he will also work with their sales team and key accounts.“Dave Glaubke has a keen understanding of the critical scientific and economic constraints and opportunities that Sea Port will confront as we move towards our goal of working with our industry to improve the sustainability of our global seafood supply where needed,” said Sea Port President William J. Dresser. “His historical perspective and his positive outlook on our industry's future make him a welcome addition to our Go Blue! Team,” Dresser added.
Glaubke received his Masters of Aquaculture degree from Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. He minored in Resource Economics and Pathogenic Microbiology as part of his graduate studies. His career in seafood includes management positions at various seafood companies, as well as time spent building his own seafood brokerage business.
